Hal Biery Jr. DAEP Naming Dedication
✨ On Saturday, Texas City ISD proudly unveiled the new name of our District Alternative Education Program in honor of the late Hal Biery, Jr.
A lifelong public servant, Board of Trustees member from 2008–2024, former Board President, police officer, veteran & community leader — Mr. Biery was known for his dedication, preparation & unwavering advocacy for students and staff.
He had a special heart for students who needed extra support, & that’s why he cared so deeply for the mission of the DAEP. Naming this campus after him is a reflection of his compassion, high expectations & lifelong commitment to doing what’s best for children.
Friends & family, current & former Board members, district leaders & campus staff gathered to celebrate this meaningful recognition of a man whose legacy will continue to inspire generations.

TCISD SECONDARY PRINCIPAL of the YEAR

We have had 2 consecutive years of earning the distinction of having the SECONDARY TEACHER of the YEAR being from our Campus.
